Give Where You Live on Thursday, June 6!

The Community Foundation for the National Capital Region is proud to sponsor Do More 24, a 24-hour online giving event on Thursday, June 6.  For 40 years, The Community Foundation for the National Capital Region has brought together people and resources to tackle critical community issues. Today, economic security is only possible when our youth graduate high school ready for college and careers; adult workers can obtain the skills and credentials needed to thrive in the region’s economy; and residents feel secure with their basic human needs such as food and shelter.
The Community Foundation’s goal is to help all residents of the region achieve economic security – our Community Leadership Fund fosters economic security through investments in education, workforce development, and safety net initiatives.  
How you can help: 

  • Make a gift of $40 in honor of our 40th anniversary  Click here to support the Community Leadership Fund. If you’d like to make a gift through your Donor-Advised Fund, please logon to Donor Central and make a gift to The Community Foundation’s Community Leadership Fund
  • Spread the word! Send this post to your family and friends with a personal note explaining why you believe in our work, and why they should give on June 6th. Please share our donation page.

As we embark on our 40th anniversary year, our commitment to the community is stronger than ever. Please donate to our Community Leadership Fund on June 6. Your support allows us to identify and tackle the region’s most pressing issues – from education to workforce development to preserving the safety net for those who need it most.
