Community Foundation Commissions In-Depth Report on Workforce Development in Prince George’s County
New research illustrates County’s workforce backdrop and outlines growth potential
The Jobs Opportunities Task Force has released its latest special report, “Obstacles & Opportunities: The Workforce Development Landscape in Prince George’s County, Maryland.” Authored by senior policy analyst Andrea Roethke, the report details the barriers facing county workers, the potential of the local labor market, and the need for a stronger workforce infrastructure.
The report, commissioned by The Community Foundation for the National Capital Region’s Greater Washington Workforce Development Collaborative, examines the impact of the regional economy, workforce development challenges including low literacy and youth disconnection, and the role of key workforce providers, giving local stakeholders a framework for action to strengthen the system.
